These are some of the questions that are often asked on the breakdown of a relationship. There are very often complex financial issues that have to be resolved as speedily as possible. You and your spouse may be able to agree maintenance and how property and other assets should be divided. If this is the case the matter can be dealt with by consent and attendance at Court is not usually necessary. If no agreement can be reached, then the matter will be dealt with at a full court hearing when the Judge will decide what will happen.
